It seems no matter what the subject of a book might be,
there is a good chance that book will contain a reference to Shakespeare.
World Domination: The Sub Pop Records Story contains one such reference. In the
section about record label Sub Pop partnering with Warner Music Group, author
Gillian G. Gaar quotes Sub Pop co-founder Jonathan Poneman as saying “There was
a certain Shakespearean quality to the whole thing; these people who are stabbing
each other in the back, and one person who thinks that they’re going to ascend
to the chairmanship, and the next thing you know they’re out of a job” (p. 74).
World Domination: The Sub Pop Records Story was published in 2018 through BMG Books.
